YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Faculty Affairs Committee meeting on Thursday, Feb. 7 set up to present three works to the Board of Regents on how they improve engagement within the community. Overseeing the presentations and sitting in the center of the room were Provost and Executive Vice President Rhonda Longworth, and Regents Jim Webb and Rich Baird.

“‘We the people’ is referring to the people of the United States,” said EMU alumnus Kenneth Dobson. “However, there was a problem…‘We the people’ did not include all rights for all men, all rights for all women, all rights for all minorities, nor did it include all the rights for people with a lower income. These are the type of people Dr. Martin Luther King stood up for.”

Sai Priya Marrapu landed in Detroit, Michigan at 5 p.m. on Aug. 17 after a dreadful and hectic 28-hour flight from Hyderabad, India. Overwhelmed with all sorts of emotions after leaving her parents and home, she still had a strong desire to further her education.
