Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and unlike Christmas, I don’t have to worry about finding the perfect present for anyone. Without the pressure of romance, or the lack thereof, it’s much less stressful than Valentine’s Day. For Thanksgiving, all I have to do is bake a lot of desserts: apple pie, pumpkin pie, cheesecake and my favorite, gingersnaps.

This year my family and I are trying a new dish that keeps the traditional flavors in a different way – we’re adding pumpkin soup with crumbled bacon and toasted pumpkin seeds.

It has become normal to see sexy Halloween costumes, particularly for those of the female gender.
Some women zip into go-go boots and mini skirts regardless of the temperatures in the Mitten state. But this pumpkin season, there seems to be more oversexualized costumes for women than usual. Yandy.com and PartyCity.com have come out with many Halloween costumes that have stirred some controversy on the topic of if there is a line that can be crossed when it comes to being too sexy.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been enchanted by modeling clay. I’ve always enjoyed working with the soft, squeezable texture and the possibility to make anything with a few shapes. A quick glance at the jewelry racks at stores like Icing and Claire’s reveals that cute and soft clay-molded critters and shapes are not just for preschoolers.
