Monday's matchup between the Eagles and RedHawks marked the 49th meeting since 1999. In the last game of the series, the Eagles soared higher than the RedHawks, claiming victory with a final score of 12-7. The Eagles’ victory improves the matchup win-loss record against the RedHawks to (16-33).

A total of nine Eagle players tallied at least one hit in game one of the series versus Butler. Junior Gabe Denton lead the charge with a game-high of home runs with one as well as runs scored with four total.

EMU’s only score of the game came from junior Gabe Denton. Denton smashed a solo home-run against Cardinal’s pitcher Tyler Schweitzer.
