Following her game-winning goal in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Ohio University, Eastern Michigan University senior midfielder Chelsie Oddan was selected as the Eastern Echo Eagle of the Week.









EMU soccer blanks Indiana, 2-0

The Eastern Michigan University soccer team won its second consecutive game Sunday, with a 2-0 victory over the Indiana University Hoosiers at Scicluna Field.The Eagles last played the Hoosiers on Sept. 6, 2013 – leaving with a 1-0 loss.

Real Madrid practices at EMU before match at the Big House

Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso and Iker Casillas among others of the Real Madrid soccer team took over Scicluna Field Thursday to practice for their friendly match against Manchester United this Saturday at the Michigan Stadium.


	Senior Angela Vultaggio (4) earned MAC Offensive Player of the Year honors this season, after scoring 13 goals for the Eagles (second overall in the MAC).

Season in Review: Women's soccer

With a 2013 MAC Regular Season Championship and a bevy of individual accolades, one would think the women’s soccer season was a rousing success. But when you talk to head coach Scott Hall about the season, you can’t help but feel that they believe something is missing.


	Senior Stephanie Clarke scored five goals this season for EMU.

Soccer team earns multiple MAC awards

Following a Mid-American Conference regular season title, the Eastern Michigan University women’s soccer team earned an array of individual awards, including six All-MAC team honors, both Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards, as well as the Coach of the Year award.


EMU soccer falls 1-0 in the MAC Semifinals

An early goal by sophomore defender Lindsey Lee turned out to be difference as the Eastern Michigan University soccer team lost to Western Michigan University 1-0 in the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals at Scicluna Field. Lee scored unassisted in the ninth minute on a rebound directly off of sophomore goalkeeper Megan McCabe after making the initial save. “Again, those early goals (hurt us again) and have been our (weakness) all season,” EMU head coach Scott Hall said. “Big games like this where people are fighting up at the end of the game and Western hung in and give them credit (for that).” Hall noticed some adjustments from the Broncos after playing them on Oct.
