2015 football season schedule preview

As spring workouts begin for Eastern Michigan University’s football team, head coach Chris Creighton and his team, can now start the process of game-planning officially with the schedule released for the upcoming season. For the third straight season, EMU opens up at home, welcoming in Old Dominion Sept.

Meet Preview: EMU Gymnastics weekend meets

The Eastern Michigan Eagles gymnastics team has a packed Mid-American Conference schedule for this weekend as they travel to Kalamazoo Friday night to take on the Broncos of Western Michigan and then return home for a senior day meet against Ball State.

EMU men's basketball team falls to Bulls

For only the second time this season, Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team lost at home, falling to the University of Buffalo 78-63. After shooting over 50 percent in the previous two games, EMU struggled only converting on 36 percent of its field goal attempts. “We never got anything going,” EMU coach Rob Murphy said.

EMU's women's and men's cross country teams placed on the NCAA All Academic List

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association named both Eastern Michigan University’s men’s and women’s cross country teams to the division I All-Academic Team list Wednesday, Feb.

Eastern Michigan forward Karrington Ward scored 22 points and pulled in 10 rebounds in the Eagles 83-69 win over Miami (OH) Feb. 10 2015 at the Convocation Center.

Women's track & field competes at GVSU Big Meet, SPIRE Invite

The Eastern Michigan University women’s track and field team sent two groups of athletes to two different meets this weekend, with one group at the GVSU Big Meet and another in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Invitational. At the SPIRE Invite, freshman Jordann McDermitt continued her successful rookie season with the Eagles with a personal record of 9:22.72 in the 3000-meter.

The Eastern Michigan University men’s track and field team split the weekend at two meets, with a group heading to the GVSU Big Meet and another group of sprinters heading to the SPIRE Invitational. At the SPIRE Invite in Geneva, Ohio, redshirt sophomore Willy Fink became the third Eagle in history to run the 3000 meter in under eight minutes.

Lady Eagles roll the Chippewas 85-64

The Eastern Eagles (12-10, 5-6 MAC) rolled over the Central Michigan University Chippewas (11-12, 6-6 MAC) Saturday, beating the visiting conference team 85-64. This 21-point victory marks the largest win all season for the Eagles.

Eastern finds some success in the water in day one's competition in Ohio

Both Eastern Michigan University’s men’s and women’s swim teams began competition at the Ohio State Winter Invitational, Saturday. For the women’s team, Clarice Daniel had a personal best time of 4:26.76 in the 400 yard IM, placing second behind Zara Bailey, from the Ohio State University.

Women's golf places second in Florida

The top seeded Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team placed second in Mid-American Conference match play in Lakewood, Florida, Tuesday. The Eagles beat Bowling Green State University in the semi-finals, but lost to fourth seeded Northern Illinois in the semifinals. Match play is different from stroke play in how scores are compiled and how a winner is determined.
