The city of Ypsilanti offers a wide variety of restaurants, and American cuisine, particularly fried chicken, is especially popular in Ypsi. Those who enjoy American food will want to try Ma Lou's Fried Chicken, a local restaurant that offers different versions of fried chicken along with other Southern dishes, house-made ice cream milkshakes, and more.

EMU’s online vendor change & 6 things to know about textbooks before fall 2025

As students begin to pick out their textbooks for the fall 2025 semester, they must keep in mind that EMU's online textbook vendor will be changing in July 2025. Sadly, according to a recent survey, many students drop classes because they cannot afford to buy textbooks. However, there are some steps students can take to reduce the cost of textbooks without compromising their learning.

The first week of July mainly focuses on Independence Day celebrations, including the Ypsilanti parade and food court. Also, people who like art and flower crafting can find interest in two events that will be held during the week in Ypsilanti.
