Walking between classes is a must for students. There's a good chance of having to take a freezing walk to make it from one class to another on time. Also, if you own a leather-seated car, you understand the struggle of sitting on cold seats and having to act like it's fine when it's not! However, blasting music is a good distraction to forget about your freezing hands.

As Michigan people, we know how nasty the weather can get in winter. It is either snowing hard or raining, but when that rain turns to ice on roads, it makes driving another big concern of ours. Especially for commuters driving back and forth from Eastern Michigan University, it can become a nightmare if you don't drive carefully.

Honestly, I stayed in an undecorated room for a whole academic year. However, at the end of the year, I noticed how much studying time I spent outside my room, in the backyard, in libraries, and cafes. I wondered why my room didn't feel like a welcoming study space and in the end, I was able to figure it out.

If someone asked me for the best advice I can give to a student I would say MAKE FRIENDS! Friends in college are one of the most important things for students to consider. Human beings are naturally social, with over-scheduled days and many people to meet. We think it is not essential to leave some time out to spend with ourselves. Not to mention, many people consider the idea of being alone an uncomfortable one. Spotting someone enjoying a movie solo or spending Friday night elicits pity since we tend to associate solitude with loneliness or isolation. Spending time alone has been shown to offer many benefits.

Swimming can be enormously life-changing, especially if you do it continuously throughout the week.
