Eastern Michigan University hosts 37th Undergraduate Symposium

Eastern Michigan University will hold the 37th Undergraduate Symposium at the Student Center, March 31. Hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences, the event will showcase creative student research and projects while celebrating the prodigious academic fortunes of the EMU student body.

Heather Lyke to leave for Pitt

Heather Lyke, the Director of Athletics, has been announced to and will leave Eastern Michigan and accept the same position at the University of Pittsburgh. The reports came in overnight and have been cleared and shown that Lyke will leave for the Atlantic Coast Conference power.

EMU celebrates International Women's Day with campus march

Even with high winds and a large power outage throughout the “Great Lakes” state, girl power was in full effect. Both the male and female student body, faculty and staff alike were on hand for the Women's March at Eastern Michigan University’s Student Center, Wednesday, March 8.

'Our Untold Stories' discussion panel emphasizes the lives of the racially divided

The Honors College held “Our Untold Stories,” a panel discussion, Thursday, March 9, in Eastern Michigan University’s Sill Hall, co-hosted by the Black Student Honors Organization. Honors College faculty fellow, Dr. Toni Stokes Jones, introduced panelists: Dr. Deborah Harmon; Dar Mayweather, coordinator for the Center for Multicultural Affairs; Victoria Walters, Best hall graduate director and David Hendricks; Sellers hall graduate director – some of Eastern Michigan University’s highly acclaimed African-American role models.

Kapamilya Club introduces campus to Filipino culture

The Kapamilya Club (Kapa) plans on having a major impact at Eastern Michigan University by expanding knowledge of Filipino culture on campus. Kapa discussed their upcoming events, volunteer work, and community involvement to spread Filipino American representation to EMU and neighboring campuses at their weekly meeting, Thursday, Feb.
