In their first MAC tournament appearance in over half a decade, the seventh-seeded Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team made a valiant effort against Miami (OH) but ultimately fell short, 81-75.

EMU women's basketball falls on senior day to Bowling Green in final game of season

The Eastern Michigan women’s basketball team wrapped up their 2024-25 campaign, falling to Bowling Green at home, 87-67. With the loss, the Eagles dropped to 2-27 (1-17 MAC) to close out the first season with head coach Sahar Nusseibeh at the helm. While the year didn’t go as planned for the squad, Nusseibeh still praised her players’ fight until the bitter end.

EMU men's basketball shines on national stage, knocks off Central Michigan 84-73

The Eastern Michigan men's basketball team flourished under the spotlight in front of their largest home crowd of the season and on national television at the George Gervin GameAbove center for the first time since 2018. It knocked off in-state foe Central Michigan 84-73 to secure a significant victory and further bolster their MAC tournament bid. 

EMU women's basketball erases 23-point halftime deficit, falls short to Miami in OT, 82-72

Following a second quarter in which the Eastern Michigan women’s basketball team scored only three points in 10 minutes and entered halftime trailing by 23, things looked bleak for the Eagles, who were up against the fifth-best team in the conference. However, instead of peacefully accepting their 24th defeat of the season, the Eagles chose not to go down without a valiant fight. 

Eastern Michigan men's basketball falls short in heartbreaker to Bowling Green, 65-60

The Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team’s road to the MAC conference tournament became more difficult. Despite erasing an 18-point deficit early in the second half and shooting 62.1% from the field in the final frame, the Eagles ultimately fell short to the Bowling Green Falcons at home, 65-60.
