Eastern Michigan University returns to action after a bye week to face defending MAC champions Miami University on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Rynearson Stadium. With Michigan and Michigan State on byes, this matchup, along with a halftime performance by The Temptations and a Beerfest with Eastern Market Brewing Company, promises to be one of the top football events in the state.

Freshman Tayla Maddock's first career goal propelled the Eastern Michigan University soccer team to a crucial 1-0 victory over Miami University, helping the Eagles strengthen their position in the Mid-American Conference standings. This win marked the Eagles' first October home victory since 2019 and put them on track to remain unbeaten at home through six matches for the first time since the 1999 season.

GameAbove golf performance center: a new era for EMU golf

EMU has officially opened the GameAbove Golf Performance Center at Eagle Crest Golf Course, enhancing its men’s and women’s golf programs. Launched on Jan.16, 2024, the 13,000-square-foot facility features advanced training amenities funded by an $8 million gift from the GameAbove alum group. This center positions EMU as a leader in collegiate golf. It symbolizes a commitment to the university and the Ypsilanti community, with plans to generate revenue through community events and elevate student-athlete performance.

EMU inducts Sow and Ryland into football Ring of Honor

Sidy Sow and Chad Ryland were inducted into Eastern Michigan University's Ring of Honor during a Hall of Fame Day ceremony at Rynearson Stadium on Sept. 21, 2024. Both alumni, drafted by the New England Patriots, joined a prestigious group of 52 EMU athletes recognized for their All-American honors or NFL careers, continuing a tradition that dates back to 2003.
