EMU men’s basketball gets ready to face Goshen at home

The Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team (1-0) will play its second game of the year versus the Goshen Maple Leafs (3-3) at the Convocation Center Nov. 12. Eastern Michigan defeated Goshen 97-74 last season. The Eagles are coming off a 93-51 win over Siena Heights in the season opener.

Eagles women’s soccer team falls in MAC championship following penalty shootout

The Eastern Michigan women’s soccer team lost in the MAC Tournament championship game on Sunday, Nov. 10 versus Bowling Green at Cochrane Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Eagles came into the tournament as the No. 7 seed before pulling off two upsets over Ball State and Ohio. Eastern Michigan fell to Bowling Green in a penalty shootout.

Week 12 Preview: EMU looks to snap a two-game losing skid against Akron

In order to become bowl eligible for the third time in the last four seasons, Eastern Michigan must win at minimum two of their last three games. The Eagles will play two "MACtion" games on Tuesday nights, both on the road. The first is a road trip on Tuesday, Nov. 12 as the Eagles travel to Infocision Stadium to play the 0-9 Akron Zips and first year head coach Tom Arth.

Eagles bounce back and win home opener versus Olivet

The Eastern Michigan women’s basketball team earned their first win of the season against the Olivet Comets on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Convocation Center. The Eagles bounced back from an 85-50 loss against Michigan State earlier in the week, defeating Olivet 95-38. EMU had five players score 10+ points in the blowout win.

Eastern Michigan men's basketball dominates in home opener 93-51

Eastern Michigan started the 2019-20 campaign with a 93-51 win over Siena Heights on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Convocation Center. The Eagles brought three fresh faces into the starting lineup with Yeikson Montero, Noah Morgan and Darion Spottsville, while Ty Groce and Boubacar Toure were the only starters from last year in the lineup.

Eagles rowing team wraps up fall schedule following Head of the Hooch

The 2019-20 campaign started on Saturday, Oct. 5 for the Eastern Michigan University women’s rowing team. The team competed at Head of the Grand, hosted by Michigan State University. The Eagles finished competition at Head of the Grand with two wins over Michigan State and Grand Valley State.

EMU men’s basketball prepares for home opener against Siena Heights

The Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team starts its 2019-20 season on Friday, Nov. 8 against Siena Heights at the Convocation Center. The game tips off at 9:45 a.m. as EMU hosts the annual Education Day. The Eagles are 4-0 against Siena Heights and defeated the Saints 90-72 last season.

EMU women’s basketball falls in season opener

The Eastern Michigan’s women’s basketball team started their 2019-20 season with a loss versus No. 17 Michigan State. The Eagles lost 85-50 on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. Corrione Cardwell led EMU with 13 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals.

EMU women’s soccer upsets Ball State in MAC quarterfinals

The Eastern Michigan women’s soccer team won 2-1 against Ball State in Muncie, Indiana on Sunday, Nov. 3. This is EMU’s first win in the MAC Tournament since 2013, when the Eagles defeated Ohio 3-0. The Eagles will play No. 6 Ohio in the semifinals at Bowling Green, Ohio on Friday, Nov. 8.

A closer look at senior specialist Drake Sutton

Special teams has been the deciding factor in a few of Eastern Michigan's football games this season. Whether it be the game winning field goal by Chad Ryland against Illinois, the punt by Jake Julien to run the clock out against Western Michigan or many other instances throughout the season, Eastern Michigan has shown moments of greatness on the special teams side of the ball.

EMU football grounded by Bulls 43-14 at home

Eastern Michigan started off strong against Buffalo, striking first blood on an 80-yard touchdown pass from Mike Glass III to Mathew Sexton. The good news would stop there for the Eagles, then giving up 43 unanswered points before ending in a 43-14 loss. Eastern Michigan is now 4-5 on the season, and drops to 1-4 within the MAC.

EMU’s men and women's cross country teams win MAC title

Eastern Michigan’s men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in first place in the MAC championships on Saturday, Nov. 2 in DeKalb, Ill. The Eagles women’s team has won five straight conference championships, which is the longest streak in MAC history. The men’s title represents the 23rd conference championship in school history.

EMU vollyball falls 3-1 to Akron

The Eastern Michigan women’s volleyball team lost to Akron on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Convocation Center. The Eagles lost the match 3-1. Eastern Michigan won the third set 25-23 but fell in the other three sets.

Week 10 Preview: The Eagles look ahead to matchup with Buffalo

Eastern Michigan football returns to action against Buffalo on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Rynearson Stadium. Both teams are looking to make up ground in the MAC standings as the Eagles are two games back in the MAC West and the Bulls are one game back in the MAC East. Eastern Michigan (4-4, 1-3) is coming off a 37-34 loss to the Toledo Rockets on the road, while Buffalo (4-4, 2-2) defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas 43-20 last weekend.

Eastern Michigan falls to Toledo in overtime

On a wet and gloomy afternoon, Eastern Michigan and Toledo shared a back and forth, hard fought and high staked football game. With the inclement weather, running the football would prove to be very important for both teams. Eastern Michigan allowed a season-high 366 rushing yards.
