EMU Football Fall 56-20 against Liberty in 2021 LendingTree Bowl

The Eastern Michigan football team finished their season with a 7-6 overall record after falling to Liberty 56-20 in the 2021 LendingTree Bowl. The Eagles will now head home for a holiday break before returning to Ypsilanti to start winter workouts and prepare for the 2022 season.

Eastern Michigan men’s basketball defeats Niagara in nail-biter

Last Wednesday night the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team (4-5, 0-0 MAC) battled Niagara University (3-6, 0-2 MAAC) inside the Convocation Center, which resulted in a 60-58 win for the Eagles. Eastern Michigan track will kickoff the 2021-22 season at the GVSU Holiday Open on Dec.3 Last season the program collected many accolades and saw 14 athletes named All-Americans.

It is time to bowl for the EMU football team

After going 7-5 during the regular season, the Eastern Michigan football team will play in the LendingTree Bowl against Liberty. This is the first appearance of EMU in the LendingTree Bowl, but also a first appearance of a new bowl called the Frisco Classic Bowl. 

EMU rower Synene Maria Abukaram wins $100K Dr. Pepper tuition scholarship

EMU Rower Synene Maria Abukaram was one of the three finalists to participate in the Dr. Pepper tuition giveaway at halftime during the Big Ten Championship Game. She won the $100K scholarship after successfully making 14 footballs into a single target.

Hassan Beydoun and Jose Ramirez both had an excellent game on Nov 2. against Toledo. Due to their performances, Beydoun received his first MAC Player of the Week honors and Ramirez garnered the honor for the second time.

Eastern Michigan University eliminated from MAC Championship contention after 34-26 loss to Ohio University

The Eastern Michigan Eagles trailed struggled in 34-26 loss against the Ohio University Bobcats. The upset defeat to the Bobcats (3-7 overall, 3-3 MAC) officially eliminates the Eagles (6-4 overall, 3-3 MAC) from MAC title contention.
