On Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, the Eastern Michigan University volleyball squad played two games against Ball State University. The matches resulted in two wins for the Cardinals (3-1, 3-0).
On Sept. 24, the Eastern Michigan University rowing team traveled to Madison, WI to scrimmage against the University of Wisconsin.
The Eastern Michigan University women’s soccer team faced the University of Kentucky on Sept. 11. The final non-conference match resulted in a 5-1 loss for the Eagles.
On Sept. 2-3, the Eastern Michigan University volleyball team competed in a tournament against Purdue Fort Wayne, Xavier, and Virginia.
Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team traveled to Kewadin, MI to compete in the A-Ga-Ming invitational. The Eagles placed fifth out seven teams.
The Eastern Michigan University soccer team played the first regular season match against Western Illinois. The Eagles and Leatherbacks trade offensive executions but conclude in a defense stalemate draw 2-2.
The Eastern Michigan University women’s soccer team will begin the 2022 season schedule on Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. against Western Illinois on Scicluna Field in Ypsilanti, MI. The squad will play 18 total regular season matches, eight at home and 10 away.
Donald Scott is an eight-time MAC champion from EMU and placed sixth in the triple jump at the World Athletics Championship.
Former EMU track and field athletes Donald Scott and Lahsene Bouchikhi are set to compete in the 2022 World Athletics Championship. Scott is a 2015 EMU graduate and former eight-time Mid-American Conference Champion. Bouchikhi earned First Team All-MAC honors his junior year and placed fifth in the Spartan Invitational with a time of 25:11.2 in the 8,000 meter race.
Eastern Michigan University Vice President and Director of Athletics announced that Steve Schram will be the new head coach of the women’s tennis program. Schram has an overall 120-49 career record in nine seasons as a women’s tennis head coach. Schram has led three other college tennis programs, recording an all-time winning percentage of .710.
