Thompson's 32 points leads Eagles to victory

After suffering a loss at the hands of Michigan State on Monday night, the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team came back with force and defeated the Marygrove College Mustangs, 108-64, Wednesday afternoon.


Eagles fall to Spartans 89-65

The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team traveled to East Lansing to play against the Spartans of Michigan State University Monday night. The Eagles defense wasn’t enough to stop the no. three ranked Spartans as they fell 89-65.

Women's basketball blows by TRGVU in win

The Eastern Michigan University womens basketball team continues to protect its home court on Saturday, defeating the Texas Rio Grand Valley University Vaqueros 78-56 at the Convocation Center. The Eagles (2-0) got off to a good start in the opening minutes of the first quarter going on a 10-2 run.

Wrestling dominates Cleveland State in win

The Eastern Michigan University wrestling squad traveled to Cleveland, Ohio on Friday to face-off against Cleveland State University (4-2, 0-0 EWL). The Eagles returned back to Ypsilanti with a dominant 32-3 victory. The Eagles (3-1) started the dual, winning the first 8 matches of the day to help build a 29-0 lead.


Eagles rout Siena Heights, 79-34

Following a loss to Oakland, the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team bounced back to protect their home floor as they easily defeated the Saints of Siena Heights University, 79-34 at the Convocation Center Friday afternoon.




Eagles fall to Oakland, 91-81

The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team was handed its first loss of the season when they fell to the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies, 91-81, Wednesday night in Rochester, Mich.

Eagles win season opener over Hillsdale

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team received its first victory of the season behind Sweeney’s 25-point performance over the Hillsdale College Chargers, 94-77, on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Convocation Center. The Eagles would struggle early in the first quarter shooting below 40 percent from the field.

EMU Men’s XC takes Third at Regionals

The Eastern Michigan University men’s team took third at the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals Friday November 13, 2015. This performance is the best the team has done since 2002 when they took second place and eventuallytook third and the NCAA Championships. The team scored 102 points while adjusting to the climate of the race.

Women’s XC finishes sixth at NCAA Regional

The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross country team competed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday November 13, 2015 in Madison Wis. The Eagles finished in sixth place with a total of 216 points. This finish is the best the team has done since 1996 when the team took second.

Undefeated Ohio State downs EMU Swim and Dive

The Eastern Michigan University and Ohio State University swimming and diving teams squared off in a matchup of unbeaten teams Saturday afternoon, where Buckeyes claimed both wins over EMU, beating the men 203.5-96.5 and the women 175-113. Eastern Michigan and Ohio State hadn’t met in a dual since 2008, but the Eagles have participated in the Ohio State invitational the last three years and will return to Columbus, Ohio later in the season for the fourth straight year.

Final home game ends in defeat for seniors

Senior Day at Eastern Michigan University ended in defeat for its 10 football seniors with a 28-17 loss to the University of Massachusetts. The loss ends the Eagles’ home schedule without a win at Rynearson Stadium and now the team has lost nine games in a row. “Tough game.” EMU coach Chris Creighton said.

Eastern Michigan University men's basketball guard Raven Lee has been suspended indefinitely for breaking team rules according to a press release from the Eastern Michigan Athletic Department.

Eagles adapt to new game rules in win

Despite an offensive struggle for the Eagles, the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team defeated the Wayne State University Warriors, 70-43, Thursday night at the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, Mich. The game introduced the NCAA's new 10-minute quarter format rule along with the foul penalty in each quarter.
