Eagles cruise past IPFW 2-0 in last match of spring

Senior forward Megan Trapp scored in the 45 minute of the first half on Saturday as the Eastern Michigan University soccer team topped the Indiana at Purdue University at Fort Wayne Mastodons’ 2-0 in the team’s final spring season match of the year in Ypsilanti.


Athletics to hold award show banquet

The Eastern Michigan University Athletic Department announced today that they will host the first ever “Ypsi’s”, which is an award banquet event similar to the ESPY’s. It will feature a green-carpet entrance and hollywood style production according to a press release released by emueagles.com.

Scouting Report of University of Louisiana Monroe

University of Louisiana Monroe’s 10th post-season appearance comes on the heels of their first 20-win season since the 2001-02 season, and first time to play beyond the regular season since the 1995-96 season. The Warhawks fell in the Sun Belt Conference semi-finals, 44-43 to Georgia Southern. The loss eliminated ULM from NCAA Tournament contention with the league’s automatic bid; instead the Warhawks are set for a first round College Basketball Invitational (CBI) showdown against Eastern Michigan.


Gymnasts make MAC all-conference teams

The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC 1st and 2nd all-conference teams for gymnastics, March 18. Eastern Michigan senior Anna Willette was named to the first team and redshirt senior Chantelle Loehner and freshman Kendall Valentin were named to the second team.

NFL scouts come to EMU

Spring football practice continues at Eastern Michigan University, professional scouts stopped by to watch EMU seniors work out. A total of 18 scouts from the National Football League and Canadian Football League visited EMU for the event, which allowed the former Eagles to display their talents in a format that mirrors the NFL Scouting Combine. The students who participated were: Tyler Allen (Lansing, Mich.-Eastern), Campbell Allison(Kagawong, Ontario-Ogdensburg Free Academy), Rob Bolden (Orchard Lake, Mich.-Orchard Lake St.


Five Things Heading into EMU Baseball Home Opener

The Eastern Michigan baseball team has their home opener Friday night against the University of Akron. The Eagles have struggled on the road to start the season as they currently sit at 6-12 but here are the five things you need to know heading into the Mid-American Conference season.

EMU basketball to play in CBI tournament

The Eastern Michigan men's basketball team will travel to take on the University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks Wednesday in Monroe, La in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational tournament.

Men's Basketball: Tournament loss equals season end for EMU

Going into the quarterfinals for the third straight year, the Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team’s journey through the Mid-American Conference Tournament comes to a complete end after losing to the University of Toledo, 78-67; Toledo will now advance to the semifinals to face off the No. 1 seed, Central Michigan Chippewa’s.

Eagles Avoid Shut Out, But Not Sweep in Indiana Loss

Eastern Michigan University's baseball team was unable to keep pace with the Indiana Hoosiers Wednesday afternoon and was defeated by a score of 9-1, the second loss to the Hoosiers in as many days. For the second consecutive game, the Eagles sent a freshman pitcher out to the mound giving left-hander, Kyle Huckaby, his second career start.
