Since her last album "Revival" was released in 2015, Selena Gomez has been through many ups and downs in her personal life, which were intensified by being in the public eye. Her new LP titled "Rare," released Friday, Jan. 10, reflects on these experiences and shows how much the singer has grown as both an artist and an individual.
Before her third studio album "Manic" is set to release on Saturday, Jan. 17, Halsey has released a sixth track titled “You should be sad,” alongside an official musical video on Thursday, Jan. 9. After just one day, the video was already trending on YouTube.
WWE’s flagship developmental brand NXT delivered a fantastic live show of the new year, where the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament kicked off Wednesday followed by a Fatal 4-Way No.1 contender main event.
A new year means that it’s time for new year’s resolutions. The start of a new year means a lot of new beginnings and a brand new opportunity to make new changes. When January approaches every year, everyone is discussing all the new things they want to accomplish in the next year and the changes they want to make in their lives. The new year serves as an opportunity to make the changes people think they need to make or take on the new hobbies they want to explore.
Something the Democratic field has been lacking this cycle is an honest conversation about qualifications and experience. Each candidate touts their experience in various fields and levels of political office. Some emphasize their geographic ties and connections to important political operatives, some their ties to activists. But for voters looking for someone who can “get stuff done,” they don’t all seem to have the same level of competency.
As soon as you listen to Harry Styles’ newest album, you are bound to begin “Falling” in love with him -- if you haven’t already.
The holiday season may be over, but that doesn’t mean a person can’t still enjoy a classic holiday movie. My favorite movie of all-time happens to be “The Holiday.”
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has consistently opposed the construction of a tunnel around Enbridge’s Line 5 oil pipeline. In March, the Democrat made good on that promise, signing an executive order nullifying former Gov. Rick Snyder’s approval of construction and signalling that a complete shutdown is imminent. This executive order has divided Michigan’s Democratic Party, pitting labor unions and environmentalists against each other.
"Call Down the Hawk" is a novel about dreaming. Whether slogging through sleep-induced chaos or clawing their way into being the people they want to be seen as, characters in this book dream big and dream hard. "Call Down The Hawk”, which was released on Nov. 5 is Maggie Stiefvater’s first book in her new series the "Dreamer Trilogy". These books will be a part of a spin-off from one of Stiefvater's previous series, "The Raven Cycle".
Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Ind. and presidential hopeful, has recently come under fire by his competitors and the press for his three-year stint at McKinsey & Co., a management consulting company based out of New York.
On Sunday morning, rapper Jarad Anthony Higgins, otherwise known as Juice WRLD, passed away after suffering a seizure. This came as a major saddening shock to fans everywhere, including myself. Juice WRLD was only on the scene for about a year and a half but he accomplished more in that span than some artists do in their entire careers.
On Friday, December 6th, Harry Styles premiered the third and presumably last single for his upcoming album Fine Line, and fans are continuing to gain more and more anticipation for the project in its entirety.
Christmas has come early for Americans as President Donald Trump's impeachment is nearing its final steps. As the House Intelligence Committee gears up to present their evidence to the Judiciary Committee, it's as important as ever to look back and remind ourselves what happened and predict what comes next. And since the public hearings were a two-week-long nightmare, it's probably not a terrible idea to touch base and try to remind ourselves what's going on. So, without further ado, a speedy recap:
Idina Menzel is a gifted songstress who is well-respected in the world of theatre. This holiday season, she has brought her fans a holiday album titled “Christmas: A Season of Love.”
Atmospheric sounds intermingle with soft words to create a relaxed environment. Worries fade into the background, and there is nothing to do, besides listen and enjoy. This weeks playlist is trance-like. I suggest setting aside time to listen to it, and then immersing yourself into the noise.
I recently attended a children's play put on by the EMU Theater titled, “Still Life with Iris.” The play was originally written by Steven Dietz and the production at EMU was directed by Patricia Moore Zimmer.
Ewan McGregor stars as Dan Torrance in this sequel to one of the most memorable films “The Shining,” adapted from the mind of Stephen King. The original film centered around Jack Torrance and his wife and son after he accepted a position at the spooky Overlook Hotel. The supernatural forces within the hotel influenced Jack to leave his wife and child, Dan, in intensifying danger. “Doctor Sleep” fast forwards in time to focus on Dan Torrance after the first film’s events.

Wanna get in your “Feelings”? Listen to Tinashe’s newest LP titled Songs For You. The R&B artist’s fourth studio album was just released Friday, Nov. 21 and I’ve had it on repeat ever since my first listen.
Last weekend, “The Game” was played between The University of Michigan and The Ohio State University. This game is heralded as the best rivalry in all of sports, but lately it’s been less of a rivalry and more of an annual vicious beating by Ohio State.
