EMU to join Workers' Rights Consortium after many appeals

Workers’ rights are at the top of the list of issues for one EMU student organization, and they are taking major steps to ensure the university is up to speed with institutions across the country. Students for an Ethical Participatory Education, or SEPE, a student organization dedicated to ethics and human rights issues, is bringing a global workers’ rights initiative called the Workers Rights Consortium to EMU.

The last of five candidates for Eastern Michigan University’s Department of Public Safety chief of police was interviewed in a public forum on April 13 in room 330 of the Student Center. Police Captain Scott Pavlik began his law enforcement career in 1984 as a corrections officer for the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department.
