A whole turkey can often be expensive and hard to manage for even the most experienced of cooks. It can be hard to carve, too, for someone who doesn't know what you’re doing. And if the bird is too big, there will be too many leftovers. This recipe uses a turkey breast, so dark meat lovers are a bit out of luck—but the delicious, moist meat more than makes up for the loss.
Finals week is almost here, and students may find themselves battling late-night hunger as they push through those evening study sessions. Fortunately, Eastern Michigan University students can find several late-night burger restaurants within walking distance of campus. These five Ypsilanti restaurants are open past 9 p.m., so students can fill out their study sheets and keep their bellies full. Rising costs of attendance at EMU is known to all students, those who receive Pell Grants and those who do not alike. I have donated, volunteered, shopped at, and worked at Swoop’s Food Pantry since I was a Freshman at EMU, which has helped me save money that I can instead put towards tuition.
Troop 4 of Ann Arbor, chartered by Ann Arbor’s First United Methodist Church, hosted their 16th annual “Tim Esch Scouting for Food Drive” and collected 60,000 meals.
