Eastern Michigan improved to 4-7 after a decisive 24-9 victory on the road against the Ball State University Cardinals. The Eagles’ defense has taken a clear step forward in the second half of the season, and it showed against Ball State. Eastern didn’t allow a touchdown, surrendered the fewest points of any game this year, and held the Cardinals to 225 total yards.Eastern Michigan had a great game statistically. The Eagles recorded four total sacks, which is the most they’ve posted in a game this season. Defensive back Joshua Scott also recorded an interception.

Eastern Michigan University will welcome a new leader in student engagement next semester. On Jan. 5, 2025, Emma Wuetrich will assume the role of Director of Campus Life, stepping into a position that has been vacant since the summer of 2024. Wuetrich, an EMU alum and the current Coordinator of the LGBT Resource Center, was selected following a months-long search that concluded this fall.

Dzanc House, located in Ypsilanti, received notice that its operation would be indefinitely shut down due to zoning laws.
