The Eagles closes their season with a tough battle in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Men fall to 12th place, while women place 15th.
Both of EMU's men's and women's cross-country teams competed in Mid-American Conference championships in Athens, Ohio on Saturday, Oct. 29. Both teams would finish third as three EMU runners were awarded All-MAC honors.
The annual EMU Fall Classic, hosted in Dexter, Michigan on Oct. 21, was the end of the regular season for the EMU cross country men’s and women’s teams, where three Eagles runners made their season debuts.
Former EMU track and field athletes Donald Scott and Lahsene Bouchikhi are set to compete in the 2022 World Athletics Championship. Scott is a 2015 EMU graduate and former eight-time Mid-American Conference Champion. Bouchikhi earned First Team All-MAC honors his junior year and placed fifth in the Spartan Invitational with a time of 25:11.2 in the 8,000 meter race.
Eastern Michigan cross country team hosted the MAC championship at the Eagle’s Crest Country Club. Eastern Michigan’s men's cross country team was able to defend their title and win their 25th MAC championship, which is also their 15th consecutive win in the past 17 years.
The Eastern Michigan University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday, Nov. 15 at the Thomas Zimmer Championships Cross Country Course. Both teams were able to finish in the top-10 in their respective competitions.
Eastern Michigan’s men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in first place in the MAC championships on Saturday, Nov. 2 in DeKalb, Ill. The Eagles women’s team has won five straight conference championships, which is the longest streak in MAC history. The men’s title represents the 23rd conference championship in school history.

This performance is the best the team has done since 2002 when they took second place and eventuallytook third and the NCAA Championships. The team scored 102 points while adjusting to the climate of the race.
The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross country team competed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday November 13, 2015 in Madison Wis. The Eagles finished in sixth place with a total of 216 points. This finish is the best the team has done since 1996 when the team took second.
