Welcome Week is under way

·

L.I.V.E. Welcome Week is upon us once again, Eastern Michigan Eagles. Launched in fall 2011 by Reginald Barnes, director of Diversity and Community Involvement, and student leaders, Learning Integrity Valuing Equality, or L.I.V.E., is a program designed to connect with culturally underrepresented and first-generation students on campus.

Study abroad trip is eye-opening experience

Kitchen 101: Ramen goes Asian...finally

·

Late last semester, I released into the world my first Ramen noodle-based recipes to the masses. From the complete lack of emails I received about it, I could tell it was a roaring success. Since this issue will be in the hands of incoming freshmen, I thought it would be a good idea to revisit the Ramen noodle experience.

Indie-rock band Wussy flexes musical muscles

·

In 2000, Chuck Cleaver, guitarist and singer for the Cincinnati-based Ass Ponys, was asked to do a solo set. Planning stylish, transitional outfits on a student’s budget

·

Defining your personal style, enjoying the time it takes to get dressed and impressing your peers consumes your thoughts until midterms come along.

Katie’s Craft Corner #1

·

As a commuter student, I won’t be setting up a dorm, moving into a new city or getting settled with a new roommate at the start of my freshman year (although I do have to coordinate with my sister). But, getting your space organized is important regardless of where you live.
