EMU baseball has major comeback against Miami Redhawks

The Eastern Michigan University baseball program clashed with The University of Miami Ohio in Oxford, Ohio on Monday, Apr. 11 in the final game of a four-game series. Monday's matchup between the Eagles and RedHawks marked the 49th meeting since 1999. In the last game of the series, the Eagles soared higher than the RedHawks, claiming victory with a final score of 12-7. The Eagles’ victory improves the matchup win-loss record against the RedHawks to (16-33).

Newlyn Stephenson joins top five throwers in EMU's record book at the Tennessee Relays

The Eastern Michigan University track & field team competed at the Tennessee Relays on April 7 through April 9 at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium. On the first day, junior Newlyn Stephenson and sophomore Miranda Cadwell highlighted the day, both achieving top-10 performances for the program. Stephenson threw a personal-best throw of 64.36m, topping his previous record of 63.97m.

Kadian Clarke beats EMU shot put record at Spartan Invitational

Eastern Michigan University’s track team traveled to East Lansing on April 1 to compete in the two-day Spartan Invitational. During day one of the Spartan Invitationals, the eagles' throwers had a solid showing with an individual first-place performance, two-second place performances, and two new personal records for additional eagle teammates.

EMU women's tennis team gives their all in close clash with Western Michigan

The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team traveled to Kalamazoo, MI on March 25. for a matchup against Western Michigan. A hard-fought battle from both teams concluded in a 3-4 win for the Broncos over the Eagles. EMU did not secure any double points, losing both the No. 1 and No. 3 matches while No. 2 was unable to be finished.

EMU baseball dominates Butler, 15-4

The Eastern Michigan University baseball team (3-10, 1-3 Mid-American Conference) traveled to Bulldog Park in Indiana on Saturday, Mar. 15 to face off against Butler in the first game of a three-game series. A total of nine Eagle players tallied at least one hit in game one of the series versus Butler. Junior Gabe Denton lead the charge with a game-high of home runs with one as well as runs scored with four total.

 The Eastern Michigan University baseball program (2-8, 0-2 Mid-American Conference) kicked off the first game of a doubleheader Sunday, Mar.13 against the Ball State Cardinals. EMU’s only score of the game came from junior Gabe Denton. Denton smashed a solo home-run against Cardinal’s pitcher Tyler Schweitzer.
