Week 12 Preview: EMU looks to snap a two-game losing skid against Akron

In order to become bowl eligible for the third time in the last four seasons, Eastern Michigan must win at minimum two of their last three games. The Eagles will play two "MACtion" games on Tuesday nights, both on the road. The first is a road trip on Tuesday, Nov. 12 as the Eagles travel to Infocision Stadium to play the 0-9 Akron Zips and first year head coach Tom Arth.

EMU women’s soccer upsets Ball State in MAC quarterfinals

The Eastern Michigan women’s soccer team won 2-1 against Ball State in Muncie, Indiana Nov. 3. This is EMU’s first win in the MAC Tournament since 2013, when the Eagles defeated Ohio 3-0.

EMU’s men and women's cross country teams win MAC title

Eastern Michigan’s men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in first place in the MAC championships on Saturday, Nov. 2 in DeKalb, Ill. The Eagles women’s team has won five straight conference championships, the longest streak in MAC history. The men’s title represents the 23rd conference championship in school history.

EMU football grounded by Bulls 43-14 at home

Eastern Michigan started off strong against Buffalo, striking first blood on an 80-yard touchdown pass from Mike Glass III to Mathew Sexton. The good news would stop there for the Eagles, then giving up 43 unanswered points before ending in a 43-14 loss. Eastern Michigan is now 4-5 on the season and drops to 1-4 within the MAC.

A closer look at senior specialist Drake Sutton

Special teams has been the deciding factor in a few of Eastern Michigan's football games this season. Whether it be the game winning field goal by Chad Ryland against Illinois, the punt by Jake Julien to run the clock out against Western Michigan or many other instances throughout the season, Eastern Michigan has shown moments of greatness on the special teams side of the ball.

Eastern Michigan women's soccer team clinches spot in MAC Tournament with win over Central Michigan

The Eastern Michigan soccer team clinched a spot in the MAC Tournament by defeating Central Michigan on Thursday, Oct. 31. On Halloween, the Eastern Michigan’s women’s soccer team went to Central Michigan and dominated the Chippewas by a score of 3-1.

Ty Eddington hopes to make most of senior season after return from injury

Ty Eddington, an EMU senior and defensive lineman, was hurt just a few days before the team's season opener against Coastal Carolina on Saturday, Aug. 31. He now says he is ready to be back and in the rotation on the EMU defensive line.

EMU vollyball falls 3-1 to Akron

The Eastern Michigan University women's volleyball team lost 3-1 to Akron at the Convocation Center Oct. 6. The Eagles won the third set 25-23, but they fell in the other three sets. Eastern Michigan is now 8-14 on the season and 3-7 against conference opponents.

Eastern Michigan falls to Toledo in overtime

Eastern Michigan University's football team fell to the Toledo Rockets 37-34 in overtime after a hard fought and high staked road game. Running the football was important for both teams with the inclement weather. Eastern Michigan allowed a season-high 366 yards.

The Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents recognized the men's golf team for earning their third title in franchise history. The Eagles set a school record with the lowest scoring average for a four-player team.

Preston Hutchinson impresses in debut

Eastern Michigan was skeptical of their roster after filling the quarter-back position against Western Michigan Oct. 19. Mike Glass III, EMU’s starter and captain, was out with an injury. Preston Hutchinson, the backup, was forced into duty and started the Eagles crucial game against the Broncos at home.Hutchinson’s journey began in Mason, Ohio, where he became a two-star recruit, according to 247 Sports. Hutchinson went to Mason High School and was named to the Greater Miami All-Conference team three times. He joined the Eastern Michigan football team before the 2017 season but redshirted and sat out the entire season.

Week 9 Preview: Eastern Michigan takes on Toledo

Head coach Chris Creighton and the Eastern Michigan Eagles hit the road on Saturday, Oct. 26 to play the Rockets from the University of Toledo after playing two consecutive home games. Toledo is coming off two straight losses, including a 52-14 loss at the hands of Ball State University.

Preston Hutchinson shines in Eastern Michigan's 34-27 win over Western Michigan

Preston Hutchinson's heroic performance in his first career start gave the Eagles their first win over Western Michigan in six seasons on Saturday, Oct. 19 by a score of 34-27. Hutchinson stepped in for an injured Mike Glass III and threw for 357 yards while completing 84% of his passes and accounting for four touchdowns.

Eagles women's soccer defeats Kent State in overtime

The Eastern Michigan women’s volleyball team defeated the Kent State Golden Flashes, 3-2 on the road in overtime. The Eagles scored two goals in the first half before scoring the game-winning goal three minutes into the overtime period. Sabrina McNeill scored the first and third goals for the Eagles in the win.
