On Saturday, both Sidy Sow (Bromont, Quebec) and Jose Ramirez (Lake Alfred, Florida) were selected in the 2023 NFL Draft at 117th and 196th overall, respectively. Following the conclusion of the NFL Draft, four Eastern Michigan University football players have received invitations to various NFL rookie minicamps.

On Friday, March 24, the Eastern Michigan University women’s lacrosse team (1-7, 0-0 MAC) kicked off their first of two weekend matches, hosting the Marquette University Golden Eagles (9-1, 0-0 BIG EAST) at Scicluna Field. After falling 5-18, the team traveled to Indianapolis on Sunday, March 26 to visit the Butler University Bulldogs (3-5, 0-0 Big East) and came just one goal short, 13-14, of grabbing their second program win.

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team (12-9, 4-6 MAC) put on a show in McGuirk Arena on Saturday, Feb. 4, visiting their in-state Mid-American Conference rivals, the Central Michigan University Chippewas (4-17, 2-8 MAC). The Eagles’ sophomore class put up a combined 56 points in the win, 68-54, to earn the squad a crucial MAC win.

After falling to visiting Akron University Zips, 43-60, on Wednesday, January 11, the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team (9-6, 1-3 MAC) headed east to play the University of Buffalo Bulls (8-5, 3-1 MAC) on Saturday, January 14, 2023. The Bulls had just come off a narrow road win at Ohio University also on Wednesday, as we get into the thick of Mid-American Conference play. Despite a season-high performance, the Eagles fell short 59-78.

In a rematch of the 1987 California Bowl, the Eastern Michigan University Eagles (9-4, 5-3 MAC) faced the San José State University Spartans (7-4, 5-3 MWC) at Albertsons Stadium for the 2022 Famous Potato Bowl in Boise, ID. The Eagles are now 2-0 against the Spartans after a trio of turnovers helped lift the team to the program’s second-ever bowl victory, 41-27. Winning much more handily this time, the teams' first meeting resulted in a narrow 30-27 victory for the Eagles in the 1987 California Bowl.
